The company christmas party is comming up in Dec. We have about 500+ employees. I’m 23 and have nobody to go with. I’m also one of the youngest person in the company. I’m not going to bring a male friend and I don’t have too many female friends, they are still back in college. What should I do? Go single? I need to start looking for a date.

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010We just had our company Christmas party at a local resturant with a bar. Our party started at 10 am and ended at 2pm. We each got 2 drink tickets and could buy more if we wished.
This one girl showed up to work hung over and then proceeded to drink 6 drinks and 4 shots at the party. She rubbed on a palm tree like a stripper, lifted up her skirt to show off her thighs, and danced with other women really skanky. She then puked outside of the club on her co-workers feet and slept all the way back to work on the bus.
What do you think about employees like this?
REMEMBER: this is from 10 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon during work hours!!!

Should kids go to a company Christmas party?
Sunday, August 15th, 2010I have been put in charge of organizing our company Christmas Party. The biggest dilemma is whether or not to allow kids. I would prefer no kids, but I really don’t care either way. It has already caused a bit of a stir with some of the people I work with.
I know some of these people don’t get to spend alot of time with their kids, so they want them to come.
But then all the focus is on the kids, and all the co-workers don’t mingle or talk to each other or hang out together.
What do you think? Is it really that big of deal? Is there something I am missing?
Everything that has been said has been taken into considerations, but here are a few more details that could sway most of these answers…
I work in a car dealership where most of these employees work 6 days a week 12 hours a day. They don’t get to spend a whole lot of time with their families.
My manager has already told me where they want to have to have the party I have to finalize all the other details. We are having the party at Main Event.
It is a "family Friendly" establishment. So the main argument is. Why should the kids be able to go?
I am on the fence on this, cause I really don’t car is kids go or not…. Can any give me any more advice on this???

I’m new to this city and don’t have any friends or even a date I can take and most people will probably be showing up with dates or their significant other. Saturday, July 31st, 2010I’m 21 and going to my boyfriends company Christmas party at a country club in two weeks.
He just graduated from law school and is working at a law firm. All the people at the party will be lawyers from the firm and legal assistants and whatnot. I will probably be the youngest person there and have never met any of these people before so I’m really nervous.
I’m wondering what’s appropriate to wear to a Christmas party at a country club and how I should do my makeup.
