My boyfriend’s work is having a Christmas party at a comedy club. The audience will consist, as I imagine, of mostly adults.
One of those classic situations: I don’t want to be the only one wearing a dress, but I don’t want to be the only one wearing jeans and a t-shirt, either! What’s appropriate for this type of event?

What should I wear to a comedy club?
Monday, September 5th, 2011Does anyone have ideas for inexpensive Holiday centerpieces?
Tuesday, July 26th, 2011Its for a Corporate Holiday party and the idea of spending for fresh flowers for 9 tables did not go over well with the party committee. So any less expensive ideas would be great to share with them.
I apologize-For the Christmas Season..actually we are not allowed to call it a Christmas Party
It was going to cost per table for 9 tables and the committee did not agree with that price.
Corporate Christmas Part – Family guests or just spouses?
Friday, July 1st, 2011My office hasn’t had a very good holiday party for years, so I’ve decided to jump in and help out on the committee. I grew up with parents who’s companies made the events whole-family events and all of us thought it was a lot of fun, but now I’m finding that most places don’t host family-friendly events for their christmas parties and I’m beginning to wonder if this party that we’re planning shouldn’t be family friendly. Does anyone have any suggestions for good family friendly company parties, or should the idea completely be dropped and instead go for more of a cocktail and entertainment event?
One of the largest thoughts of why family would be a good thing is because a lot of the people that would be attending the party are away from their families on meetings, business trips, and working massive overtime to get projects released. i.e. the families aren’t able to spend much time with them, and this could potentially be a function where the family could actually feel involved instead of excluded. But then there are those who feel that this is an adult event to congratulate employees on a job well done, not a family function.
Why do so many people like cheesy family friendly shows and entertainment?
Sunday, June 26th, 2011I mean cmon! Why does the average person like family friendly shows and entertainment that is cheesy? Shows like touched by an angel, Shrek, Leave it to Beaver. The list can go on and on! Then of course you have your holidays like Christmas where everyone wants to hold hands and love one another. Pure Cheese! I don’t get it.
When did corporate America turn its backs on the working man during Christmas?
Friday, June 24th, 2011In the 5 years I have worked my current job, I have seen us take away our bonus, do away with our party, and even sink as low as having us work till 6pm on Christmas Eve this year. I work for a national company, they just no longer care about the employees.
Does anyone know who the comedian is that sang the adult (dirty) version of The 12 Days of Christmas?
Tuesday, March 15th, 2011He headlined as himself, and his Pixies, played the piano, and did adult humor, including many spoof adult versions of Christmas songs.
Question for everyone about coworker.?
Monday, March 14th, 2011Ok Folks, a little background. I am a semi professional hypnotist and at times I get called on to do some hypnosis for parties and just for fun. Anyway…the other day I was giving a Christmas party for some coworkers at my school (about 20 in all) and I was asked to do a little hypnotism for them.I asked for volunteers and I hypnotized about 5 of them and had them do some really cool stuff (freezing hands, feeling hot, forgetting thier name) and one of the folks I hpnotized was this girl who I work with that I have had a crush on for awhile. We are just friends but she went under really deeply and was a great subject. One of the routines I did was I had her (and others on stage) have an orgasm from a handshake. She was one of the best. After the show she was really out of it and didn’t remember anything but was upset when the orgasm was mentioned. I feel really badly. The question is, should I feel guilty and what should I do?
